Bhavesh Patil - About

Software, interfaces and thoughtful systems.

Based in Maharashtra, India. Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology while independently building web interfaces, developer tools and small systems.

The interest in technology started early and mostly self-directed. Over time it became more focused: building things with care, understanding what makes an interface usable, and paying attention to the difference between software that works and software that feels right.

Work

Building interfaces and systems.

Most projects are frontend: web interfaces, component systems, interaction-heavy tools and occasionally backend systems or autonomous workflows. The work spans personal projects, open-source contributions and things built out of curiosity. What connects them is a preference for doing less, better.

A consistent area of interest is how interaction design accumulates across a product. Transition timing, state management, layout density, the behaviour of elements under edge conditions. These are small decisions individually, but they compound. Products that handle them well feel substantially different from those that do not.

Software tends to drift toward complexity by default. Pulling it back toward clarity requires decisions at every level: what to include, what to remove, how much motion serves the user versus how much gets in the way. Aviation is an honest reference here: aircraft earn every surface through constraint, and the result tends to be both purposeful and quietly well-made. That standard is worth applying to interfaces.

Interests

Outside the work.

Aviation has been a recurring fascination for years. The engineering discipline behind aircraft, the experience of air travel, the particular feeling of being in transit between places. There is something in that combination of precision and scale that is genuinely interesting.

Other consistent interests include horror as a genre, ambient and melancholic music, cinema with a strong visual sensibility, and minimal design across most formats. Most of the focused work happens late at night, which suits the pace of the other interests well enough.
